A Review – Third Day Naturals

March 29, 2013 by Anjana @ At The Corner Of Happy And Harried Leave a Comment

Two weeks ago, I won a fabulous giveaway from a fellow blogger, The Frugal Girl. What did I win? Let me show you.

Third Day Naturals 1

These amazing products are from Third Day Naturals, a family owned small business based in NY. They make all-natural soaps, body scrubs, lotion bars and lip balms. Their products are free from phthalates, parabens or petrochemicals, and any form of artificial color or fragrance additives. They are made from natural oils and plant-based ingredients.

I have tried the following products so far.

Lip Balm: We have really dry lips throughout the year and go through a lot of lip balm. I never realized the ill effects of slathering on petroleum-based products on lips. Third Day Naturals lip balms are all-natural, and have a creamy, easy-to-apply texture. It stays on for a long time too!

Third Day Naturals 2

I got the Lime and Liberated lip balms, the latter is a good buy for guys who don’t want to end up smelling like a fruit all day! For those who do, they have delicious flavors like vanilla, peppermint, lime and even, chocolate!

Body Scrub: I got this in Citrus Sunshine and it smells absolutely divine. When it arrived,  the solids had settled down on the bottom and I had to mix it before using. How is this good, you may ask.  Well, this shows that it doesn’t have any stabilizing chemicals which makes it remain in a homogeneous glob for all eternity. And it works like a charm on rough elbows and feet.

It also doubles as a facial scrub/mask if you follow Sarah’s (one of the owners) advice and mix in a few drops of lemon juice.

Lotion Bar: I have been seeing this in blog-land for quite a while now. It is body lotion in solid form. It came in this cute little metal box. Perfect for travel! No more leaking bottles of lotions.

Third Day Naturals 4

Just warm the bar in you palm and use it all over. It has a subtle fragrance of lavender and bergamot. Just enough to feel good, and not overpower everyone around you!

The verdict? These products work well and feel good. We all know that natural products are good for us, yet in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we tend to go for the convenience of drugstore beauty buys. Not anymore!

Give them a try and you will love them as much as I do! Be good to yourself, and support a small business too!

Disclosure: I received the above products from Third Day Naturals as part of a giveaway, but I was not otherwise compensated for this post. All opinions expressed above are my own.
