There's nothing like a tall, cool glass of homemade lemonade to beat the summer heat. This pretty-in-pink rose lemonade made by adding rose syrup to a rosemary infused lemonade is a delicious twist on the classic.
You will need:
For Simple Syrup,
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
For Rose Lemonade,
  • Fresh lemons - 4 large, juiced
  • Simple syrup - 1 cup
  • Cold water - 5 cups
  • Rosemary - a few sprigs
  • Rose syrup - 2-3 tbsp
  • Ice - to serve
How to:
  1. Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and boil gently till sugar is dissolved completely. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  2. Rose Lemonade: Blend together lemon juice and simple syrup. Blend in cold water or enough ice to make around 1.25 quarts (litres) and transfer to a pitcher. Instead of using a blender, you can simply stir the ingredients together in a large pitcher or jug.
  3. Add the rosemary sprigs and rose syrup and serve chilled over ice. Instead of adding rose syrup to the entire pitcher, you can also add 1-2 tsp of rose syrup to each glass and pour the lemonade on top.
