Cute ‘Pin-spired’ Spring/Summer Crafts

May 9, 2013 by Anjana @ At The Corner Of Happy And Harried 31 Comments

I tried out some cute craft ideas I saw/pinned. I am all for simple, cute craft projects!

Spring_Summer Crafts

Crepe Paper Rose Wreath

I actually made this wreath  a long time ago. I love how sweet it is, and had to share it with you.

Below is my crepe paper rose pin-spiration from Filth Wizardry. I followed their adorable video tutorial for making roses. It was one of those projects that I tried out as soon as I saw it.

I made roses using streamers in blue, yellow and pink, and decided to fashion them into a small wreath.

This is the perfect craft to reuse those leftover birthday streamers!

I keep moving the wreath all over the place! Perfect spring-time cheer!

Hanging Basket Arrangement

I spied this cool basket ‘wreath’ from Lemon Tree Dwelling, and had one of my, ‘Why didn’t I ever think of doing that?’ moments! Here is the original pin.

To make my version, I took a square basket, threaded ribbon, and hung it on the wall.

Now what do I fill it with? The basket is kind of small and won’t hold anything elaborate. So I placed my spring Duckie couple inside and called it done. Mister and Missus Duckie now have a cute home! I love putting my own twist on crafts.

It took me under 5 minutes to do this. It is kind of quirky, as the duckies seem to be looking at us always from their perch!

The above crafts didn’t cost me anything, since I re-purposed things I had on hand.
