End-Of-Year Teacher Appreciation Gifts

August 20, 2013 by Anjana @ At The Corner Of Happy And Harried 16 Comments

Teacher Gift Bags It is time for Boy to graduate to the next level in his pre-school. He is not old enough to be eligible to the public school programs here (boo!), but he has been going to a  private place since he turned three. He has had 2 main teachers and 2-3 substitute teachers within a span of one year! When he started school, he was so heartbroken to be away from me, and his first teacher was so understanding and awesome. I cannot thank her enough! Now he loves going there and looks forward to Mondays! All thanks to his teachers/care givers and little friends.

I wanted to create little appreciation packages for his teachers. I saw lots of ideas in many blogs a couple of months back, but I waited till now because the official school year starts only by the end of August. And also because, I tend to procrastinate sometimes!

Let us  take a peek in the goodie bags, shall we? Teacher Goodie Bag I definitely wanted to give each teacher something that Boy made himself. I let him create some watercolor artwork and made them into cards. Kid-made Watercolor Art Cards The handmade cards turned out super cute. He made me draw him pictures of trees, flowers, whales (!) and of course, cars. He did such a good job coloring them. Then he himself decided which card should go to whom. I could clearly see who his favorites were, the little charmer! And of course, he wrote his name on them. A huge milestone for any pre-schooler!  Kid Handwritten Letter to Teacher A lovely handwritten note showing our appreciation and gratitude. I am a firm believer in handwritten letters in place of printables or tags with funny or cheesy quotes.Handwritten Letter to Teacher For the store-bought gift, I selected some soaps and lotions in summery scents. Soaps and LotionsI also found some cute notepads and simple picture frames. I added a picture of Boy and the awesome ladies. I am thinking of getting some nice chocolates too.

Teacher Appreciation GiftsBoy loved planning and creating these little gift bags. I’ve told him it’s supposed to be a surprise for his teachers, and I hope he didn’t go tell them already! It is so important to teach young ones to show their love and appreciation to others, and what better way than letting them create a lovely card. So much better than Hallmark!

I hope the ladies like the little token of appreciation. What do you think?

I love planning such things, but also like to keep it simple. Like the time I planned Boy’s Birthday Party.
