Christmas 2015: A Cozy & Cheerful Christmas

December 19, 2015 by Anjana @ At The Corner Of Happy And Harried 12 Comments

HappyandHarried Christmas 2015 - Cozy Christmas Decor

I absolutely love Christmas. It is the season I look forward to all year. That and the little guy’s birthday. Two of my favorite days of the year. I love setting up the tree and adding little Christmas touches throughout the house.

As for the tree, I unabashedly go the fake route. Do not judge, please. It comes pre-lit and I feel better not cutting down a live tree just to put in my living room just for a few weeks.

This year I used the traditional Christmas colors of red and white. I added some natural touches with burlap and some wooden ornaments. And of course, we need a little bit of sparkle. What is Christmas without lights and sparkle?

The ornaments are collected from many different places, some are old, some are new. Some are not even traditional ornaments. I found cute Christmas themed gift tags and chalkboard placeholders which I used as ornaments.

We wrote our names on these little chalkboards for a personal touch.

The burlap ribbon has been carried over on the wall in the form of this burlap and felt snowflake bunting.

This cute little centerpiece graces our dining table. A metal lantern, sparkly ornaments and fresh Christmas greens to soften the whole look.

I love placing little vignettes throughout the house. And I love natural greens in decor.

If you have a kid around the house, you know Christmas decor has to be playful and kid friendly as well. We love this darling snow globe scene, I wish I could transport myself into it!

Little boy is always in charge of the Christmas village. Apparently, superman himself oversees affairs at the village!

This year, he also decorated his very own Christmas tree. I actually love this little gem more than our big tree. It has all his crafts, handmade ornaments and little toys.

And of course, lest we forget the real reason for the season.

You’re certainly looking very festive! We’ve only just got our tree up this weekend and it is so nice to have (we’ve gone real route – the smell is amazing, though I understand what you mean about not cutting one down for a few weeks, afraid we can’t resist once a year!)
